Some would probably say this :Top Quality Car Oil Service Reset Tool OBD2 OBDII For BMW E46 E39 X5 Z4 Rover 75.
And some would definitely say: Scanner 1.4/1.4.0 fit for BMW E38 E39 E46 E53 E83 E85 Never Locking sunny HYSG as it has other capabilities as well.
I myself have used the old paperclip method.

Well yes, pins 4 and 8.
For more specifics, there are some how-to's, I can't remember by heart.

And for the links above, I just searched eBay for "rover 75 obd" and "bmw scanner" and linked to the cheapest ones I found.

I also bought the top one and it also worked a treat.
However, when I next needed a T4 session, T4 would not connect with the car as the socket holes in the connector had been spragged apart by the non-standard pins of the reset tool.
Terry of TSAutos also says this is a common problem.
Be aware!

I made my own tool by connecting 2 lengths of single core .5mm cable to a single pole switch, then solder the 2 loose ends so they are stiff, these are then inserted into the OBD socket pins 4&8 with the switch open, turn on ign to position 2 and turn ON the switch, the mileage will reset. worked for me for the last 7 oil changes 38kmls.

Think you might have a market for making these...... I've tried the paper clip way but haven't got anywhere with it. Your way seems ideal.

It seems like hard work to me, as you can pick up the tool for a fiver.
