Default Early Tourers...

This list has been building up for three and a half years now, and keeps on growing. Thanks to all the contributors.

This early Tourer list includes ZT-Ts, and for now I'm using Greeners ZT-T as the cut-off date for the list. Grateful for further information from anyone, particularly anyone who was at Longbridge in 2000/2001 and knows anything about the early cars.

Supplementary list of early press cars, with identifying features

Moonstone Green
Meteors, Front Fogs, Chrome mirrors and torpedoes (Photograph RGS-0201-113 and some adverts) Other photos appear to show the same car from above, and it has Sat Nav and a sunroof See below...

http://www.motorstown.com/images/rover-75-tourer-05.jpg

This could well be Y234 UON (though now Y582 and Y583 UOL are potential candidates). Out of the batch of Moonstone Tourers to appear in the last couple of months, this one has Meteors Sat Nav headlamp washers etc.. Not sure about the sunroof yet.

Silver
Meteors, Front Fogs, torpedoes (2.5Litre), Sat Nav, headlamp wash and projector headlamps, sunroof and 'Rover' boot plinth (Brochure 5796- apparently issued before cars were in dealerships)

There is what appears to be a second silver car:

Silver
'881 OHA' Front Fogs, probably Meteors, Chrome mirrors and torpedoes but no headlamp wash or Sat Nav. As seen at:

http://www.drivervibe.com/2013/07/5-...nder-2000.html

Dark Blue
'UVV181' shown at speed,

http://www.aronline.co.uk/press/mgrov75_4.jpg

This may be the same car as in RGS-0601-218 Meteors, Front Fogs, Projector headlamps and wash wipe Chrome mirrors and torpedoes

http://www.flickr.com/photos/21387694@N03/2216855407/

Also may be in RGS 0501-171, although I'm not 100% sure on the colour being the same...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/21387694@N03/2217636892/

The silver and blue cars may well be ones already on the main list (at least I hope I can figure out which cars they are with a bit of patience)

If you look on the early ZT list below, you'll find the details of my ZTT which appears to be the earlist known in the club at this time.

MA 51 GHV 1570 226804 Unknown 20/09/2001 Greeners Anthracite Tourer

I started a thread when this one appeared, as a whole, but I don't think anyone put themselves forward to save it. Very impressive spec, and definitely a Y reg with an OC at the end.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/breaking-r...p2047675.l2557

I also posted this thread, in relation to a Copperleaf Red Tourer, on a Y plate, which I seem to recall was either OC, or OL registered. I don't know if Reebs could work out the plate again for us, after discovering it was the 45th Tourer?

My tourer is an early one. Built 22nd May 01 and was registered in July around the launch of them. It was Charles hurst demo car. It also has lots of nice goodies fitted to it.

Do any early Tourers have 'Rover' on the rear plinth as in the early brochure? I've never seen one.

I suppose my tourer might go on this list Y686FRP CDT Connoiseur in copperleaf red, registered 26/7/2001. I don't know when the build date is but now I know its an early one I'll have to start ta
king better care of her.

The garage I bought it from said they had sourced the car for the previous owner and he'd brought it back to them to px for an S-Type, they said the car was originally a demo car at C D Bramall's in Milton Keynes.

I doubt it as the ROVER plinth had already been deleted on saloons as part of project drive when Tourer production commenced.

I remember the first tourer to pass through the workshop. It was registered on a private plate but still a Y registration in Royal Blue. I still remember the plate!
