Tea has a magical ingredient. Just settles you.

Take the comfort, and support, from family and friends. But most importantly keep the kettle full, and the tea caddy to hand. And don’t forget the biscuits.

If you need to talk you know where I am. Talking is a wonderful way of letting off steam.

Cool

Morning everyone.

A tad overcast this morning, rained in the night.

There's white stuff on my garden this morning. The Norfolk locals will be in total panic mode as they don't see it very often. They will probably be taking all the buses off the road soon!

Morning all, quite chilly up here in Edinburgh.... I heard the all too familiar sound of windscreen wiper rubbing icy glass this morning.....

Have only ventured out as far as the Guinea Pig cages to feed them this morning, feeling a bit better than I was yesterday as I was feeling quite low.

Afternoon everyone, this morning I visited Southmead Hospital for the vascular scans, one team scanned the legs and another team scanned the abdomen. I am seeing the vascular surgeon next Wednesday to discuss the results. After that I went to get the booster jab at a walk-in centre and was told I must wait for the full 6 months which will be in 9 days time. I argued the 3 month directive for having it today, but was told because government had not filtered this down to the vaccination staff on the front line, I would have to wait for the full 6 months. How frustrating for all concerned, excessive bureaucracy clogging up my plans

Since the price of gas & electricity has gone through the roof this year I'm seeing lots of those AGA & Rayburn cookers for sale, I always fancied one of those but they're just too prohibitive now if they run on gas these days.
Hi Ian, that’s interesting about the sock aid, I never knew such things existed. A brother in law finished his army days being nanny to Prince Charles, I wonder if that involved him having to get down on his knees to help HRH to put on his socks, perish the thought.

Enough of my trivia. My thoughts are for Andy and Deb, for everyone who knew and loved her.

Afternoon Phil, The only half chance I get of putting socks on is right after a hot bath but lately I just cant bend or reach my feet. Hopefully this doodah should be just the job.

Heh Heh what a job! Nanny to HRH, It doesn't bear thinking about
