I’ve got I ‘Press car’ BX04 XHJ. Is there anyway of finding out where it was used? Cheers. Graham.

Try Googling the reg number, it’s really difficult to trace the press cars unfortunately.

Interesting thread. My original 75 was stamped "MG Rover Press Garage" as the commissioning dealer. Its a Wedgwood CDT Connoisseur auto saloon reg BL02 WPP.
I`ve never seen reference to it having ever been used by the press so there`s probably no real provenance. However, it is the best finished and built 75 I`ve had out of the half dozen or so that I`ve had, which is why I`ve kept her out of front line service in a perfectly dry garage.

Be interested if anyone knows what the "Press Garage" did, whether they just had press cars for certain purposes, or they just commissioned cars "en bloc" to be sold as pre registered?

Anyone help?
