Hi mate, I have changed the front discs, and pads,thinking that maybe, that was the cause, but it didn’t make any difference, and so, i will check the rear wheels now, cheers Ian

When this happens the sound/feeling you describe it is the ABS system operating, this is almost always a sign of a failing bearing of sometimes ABS sensor.

It's a low speed ABS issue, probably one of the rear sensors due to rusty back plates. There's actually quite a bit on here about it, it's just finding it.

As I said on Facebook mine was rear bearing leaking all the grease out the back and making the sensor inoperative. Mine would fire the ABS light then Traction control followed by Brake Fault warnings about half a mile into any journey. The braking at slow speed sounded juat like a grinding of pads and discs but was obviously the ABS firing. Probably woud've still been looking yet but my mate had a T4 and it threw up the electrical fault for rear left ABS. Wasn't even convinced it would fix it untill the test drive but bearing replaced and all good
