With a boot lip to negotiate what is the practical benefit over a standard 25/ZR?

Our local MGR dealer had one in white, I was told it was a lot faster than a standard 25 probably due to the lack of trim or maybe they ordered it with a 1.8?

The extra rear subframe inside the vehicle and wood, plus metal devider & cage was far heavier than the rear seats I swapped mine for! Heavy duty bit of bit.
