There will be some busy maternity wards around then I think. Thankfully it won't involve us

Afternoon all, grey & drizzling here, very warm though.

Ham shank in a honey herby glaze with mashed sweet potato/carrot, roast parsnips, peas & new potatoes for tea

Great meal at The Black Horse (https://www.blackhorsebeamish.co.uk/). Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

I use Linux Ubuntu on my day to day laptop. It just boots up - in seconds, not minutes - and works. Loads of free stuff to do everything I'm ever likely to need.

Our other laptop is Win 10 and a pain. Takes ages to boot even after stopping everything I can think of and then has a mind of its own about what it'll do, when and how fast . Need Win to update the sat nav with maps & speed - opps, sorry - safety - camera database from the Pocket GPS site which I have a decades long free subscription to as sent then a "new" camera location a few years ago.

Really don't understand how Windows has such market share .

Andy.

Yes Andy, Linux/Ubuntu just works and is so much quicker on an older PC, I can't fault it.

Cool

Had to give up on the gardening as it was getting too hot to work. Temperature is currently 24 degrees and a cool breeze.

Pint or two of Doom Bar this evening.

Morning bald...."Oops I mean Bob been raining overnight and by the looks of things more to come. This annoys me considerably as I jet washed a block paved driveway yesterday and need to re sand it to fill in the gaps, but the ground has to be dry before it can be done. Got a living room carpet to clean this morning, then back on the glass after that.
