It is so refreshing to see England play as a team, yes you can argue Sterling could have made it 4-0 but that's to ignore the dynamics of the whole thing and maybe if he wasn't there? If he stuffs two past Russia or Croatia he will be a hero after all and he was a little unlucky at least once today
As I've said before I'm no huge football fan but I am actually loving watching England play, having a goalkeeper that can actually stop shots is a huge bonus obviously! |

Very cagey opening, I was a little nervous. But just before the opening goal I thought something would come we seemed to just switch on.
I thought we could have got a couple more but then so could they. We couldn't complain if they had got one. Good performance by pickford. From such a tepid qualification campaign and after all the thing with big Sam it's nice to see GS get the best out of England. Tbh I was sceptical of him, I thought he was a bit of a knee jerk, a safe option. Glad to be wrong on that account. I wonder if we get to the final it'll be the most watched sporting event (in the UK) ever? It must be surely? |

Without getting ahead of ourselves. If England were to make the final, which of the two remaining teams in the other game would England have the best chance of beating?
Come on Belgium

I’d rather face France then Belgium at the moment. Both very good but I think Belgium have that little bit extra at the moment. Both very tough to beat...

Croatia will be another physical game only going to be 1 goal in it, The boys had a long, hard Columbia game, Harry Kane in particular spent most of the first half giving piggy back rides so I don't think we saw the best of them against Sweden.
The final? Gotta be France. What red blooded Englishman doesn't relish a dustup against the French.
