The day has finally come , i didnt see it sneaking up on me. On the front page of Practical Classics there are cars that i have had years ago and one that i have now!! I remember a time when all the cars on the front of the mag looked so ancient , i always wondered why would anyone be interested in somthing so OLD

I see my ZT is only worth 1k.

...and a MX5 is worth 2K lol

MX5 is a swear word to a F/TF owner, but I suppose if the front cover had to MG's on it, some car clubs might kick-off a little...

MX5s are for girls and hairdressers Wes........MGF/TFs are for real MG men

I’d take the Impreza along with the ZT. Had both, (still got one), and they’re still the best two cars I’ve owned

These little MX5's Paul are known to suffer rust worst than the F/TF's.

I was speaking to an ex MX5 owner only yesterday...

...he now owns a TF. LOL

Still got my impreza STI type RA in the garage, only comes out once a year don’t know what impreza’s they are thinking of but mine is worth a lot more than 2.5 K I guess they’re referring to basic WRX models

In my loft I still have Practical Classics no.1 and every edition after for the next five years or so. Can't be certain as haven't dug them out for over 25 years. I got married in '84 and had kids from 88 so the love of old cars got 'parked' for a while.

Strange that cars that were not even on the drawing board back then now feature alongside Morris Minors and Cortina's.

Yes, that price has to be referring to stock Turbo and WRX.

Mine was the later ‘blob eye’ Mk3 WRX but, it had a PPP fitted which, apparently, took it to STi performance and it still looked standard........I’ll tell you one thing Mick, it was bl00dy quick!
