Default Does every car have its price?

I am going to a Cherished Car Show at Allington Farm tomorrow.

In the past at shows I have had several people ask if I would sell Wurzel. I would never want to sell Wurzel, but I am wondering do members have a price on your 75's, ZT's and ZT-T's which you would sell?

For me it would have to be a ridiculous offer to make me even consider parting with Wurzel which I could not see happening which is good as I would not want to part with Wurzel.

Nev the bear

I would , like you never sell my 2002 R75 Tourer ordered that from brand new built to order and had to wait for it. i did not want a stock car, i wanted factory fresh and the deal was struck in May 2002, delivered 28/06/2002 7 weeks later.

I have brought up all my kids in that tourer, and picked it up just 34 miles on the clock today 310000 miles.... what a car!

i am so found of it, money is no object it HAS TO SURVIVE THE CRUSHER!

And the way i look at , is this, The Rover P5, The Rover 75 twin brother from the late 1960's to early 1970's, imagine driving one of those to the factory car park or office...utter class no brand new car today could match standing out in the crowd with beauty.

This is where the Rover 75 will be within just 6 years. CLASS ! Hold on to your Rover/MG ZT because they will be in demand and they will have beauty and class.
and in 10 years when the regular run-arounds have gone only the best will be here. NOT FOR SALE

Interesting question this.

Up until recently "The Pretty One" would never have been for sale, ever! But situations have changed for me now. A major left knee problem as well as back issues mean I can no longer drive a manual car therefore the car gets no use & is just an expensive ornament on the drive.

So, do I keep paying out to keep the heart happy or, sell & wait until a suitable auto to come up & keep the head happy.

It will a real wrench to let her go, it's had my heart & soul over the last 4 plus years as well as several thousands of pounds.

So as you ask How do I put a price on her????? As nothing would have made me part before.

Yes interesting question

Regards

Paul

I would look at it from another angle!
you looked after her, you spent the money and you get the one thing which is always forgotten

"utter enjoyment" no money on that, like postings with fellow like minded ROVER/MG fans.

why not consider this, change it from manual to automatic, same engine and gearbox aperture food for thought, convert and KEEP"
Your little treasure.

It is an interesting question.
I have no intention of selling my ZT, I would like to think my son would take ownership etc.
That being said if someone were to offer a ridiculous amount then I could be persuaded.
Problem is, nobody will make me that offer

Yes, every car has it's price. It's been said many times, a car's value is what you or anyone else is prepared to pay for it. Our cars are not 'priceless' When talking hard cash, everyone has a figure in mind at which they'd sell, whether ridiculous or reasonable.

Cool

I was offered £5k three weeks after I bought Banana. And I had paid £3,500. In 2010.
I turned down £4K for Redfive in 2014.
But I cannot get anyone to pay the £17k I'm asking for my V8 ZTT 400. The most I have been offered was £12k last year.

A car is only worth what someone is willing to pay regardless of it's condition or mileage.

Your little treasure.

Had thought about this but not as simple as it sounds. Change gearbox-change ECU-change linkages-change pedal box..!!! & that's just for starters. Along with the fact I can't do the work myself now so cost of someone else doing it would be prohibitive. Unless there's offers of a freebie.!

Quite often the price we put on the car in no way matches what someone is prepared to pay, who's got the right figure?

Been offered 2k against a Brand new Eurobox No Thanks!!!!

Regards

Paul
