Default -30.0°c on IPK temperature display

I've just removed and refitted the instrument cluster on my 75 and now the outside temp display is reading -30.0°c. I made the mistake of turning the ignition on while the IPK was out to try and adjust the drivers electric seat - I'm guessing the issue is related to this and something to do with the canbus. The mileage is showing correct and the trip computer info has reset as you'd expect. Any ideas as doing a search has not proved of use?

Am I correct in thinking that it resolves itself after a period of time.
Cheers Ian

I am sure you are correct Ian, as if I remember correctly when I changed the temprature sensor on the front of my ZT-T it was a good few hours for the reading to stabalise on the ipk. I did not do any sort of reset I just allowed the ipk reading to adjust itself.

Yes, the ambient sensor/IPK have to equilibrate after the signal is broken. It can take from a few hours to days.

Cheers for the input guys. Thought I'd made a boo-boo but feel reassured now. I'll run the car and report back in due course.

This issue sorted itself out even before I started the car.
