I agree but I suppose they think it is an audience interested in cars and how many people are there going to get through there showroom on a bank holiday and I suppose one sale or even a spark of interest in there view has to be worth it.

On the same theme you see plant sales, vintage jewellery and cufflinks? I suppose they must sell some or they wouldn't go. SWMBO bought some plants.

I have never bought a brand new car and never will but boy thats steep. Luckily I own all my cars outright and the newest is on an 11 plate. I wouldnt bother with never never at all. My wife used to work at BMW and it was common knowledge that the salesmen made more money in finance deals than selling outright. Most new cars on the road are lease, hire or never never.
I suppose it makes it better for me who tends to be the cars second or third owner

It's hard to get people into showrooms, so why not 'sell sell sell' when you have a captive audience?
Surely their were some people with MGs in a garage selling new but conterfeit MGs made in China.

I have heard a good few ads on the radio for VW Polos so suspect they are having difficulty shifting them so also suspect special offers are available to those who push. I got 20% off my then new BMW 5 years ago when the estate version had only just been launched and I was paying cash (not literally). I know lots of people slag-off VW for the dieselgate scandal but one has to give them credit for almost singlehandedly killing the diesel car!

Car dealers don’t sell cars anymore. They sell finance.

Maybe if the cars were a more realistic price they would not need to just be credit brokers.

A VW Golf in the US is less money in $'s than it is here in £'s for example, same car similar spec but the European market will pay more. I have a friend who lives in the US, he was telling me they can get a Ford Mustang for under $25k . The same car with the steering wheel on the correct side is £35k. You cant tell me it costs that much to put it on a boat even with the tax we pay?

Default How Much

I picked up my new second hand car recently, and new it would have cost £84,950, but I paid less than the cost of a new Polo as previously mentioned, and think that the newer car is much better, and know which one I prefer

Would never buy a new car, as too much depreciation, but the problem is that this new car rental (PCP) suits a lot of people, but not for me

DITTO

Only new cars I've had have been company cars. The novelty isn't worth the price penalty.

But let's not discourage others from buying new otherwise we'll have not cheap s/h units to buy in the future.

You can see why Dacia's are such a popular car as cost a fraction of the price of a lot of other brands of new cars.

Kirsty's Dacia Stepway for the money is a very nice car with a fair bit of kit, such as:

LG Sat Nav Entertainment System with bluetooth technology
Electric Windows all round
Cruise Control
Start Stop technology
LED DRL's
0.9 Litre Petrol Engine which is also used by Renault
Front Fog Lights
Reverse parking sensors

I have never paid more than £5,000 for a car. Always relied on the first owner paying through the nose for it, and losing most of it when selling. Thank you very much.Very nice car by the way..
