I haven't been before, so genuine question, why did people not enjoy themselves at the event?

Based only my one experience;

Positives.
Great to see high numbers of cars made in Longbridge.
Meet other people from the club and other clubs.
cant think of anything else lol.

Negatives.
The actual show is static, no show ground, no comentary, just cars all lined up in their respective clubs.
Not on hard ground, in a big field.
Poor catering, toilets etc.
Too far for me, meaning it can be expensive when taking travelling, accommodation etc.
Nothing to interest my missus.
No autojumble or other attractions.

It maybe different now for 2017 so go along and make your own mind up.

Agree on all of the above Glenn, there's nothing to do other than stand around & look at cars you've no interest in

Right, thanks for that. I thought it was more of a 'do' than that. I don't mind having a look around a stand of cars but only when it's part of something bigger like a country show. That's something me and the other really enjoy and it's getting that time of year we go to about as many as country shows as possible. I don't think it's my cup of tea at POL but each to their own.

Found the pics I took at POL 2012. The thread and pics should give you an idea of POL.

This will be the first POL i have missed for a few years - a very much each to their own show but i, as a rule, really enjoy it but i have a huge interest in the whole BL, Rover & MG marques which does make a difference.
I was meant to be going but i changed my caravan earlier this year & the 75 diesel just wasn't happy towing it. I am now in Belper in Derbyshire for a few days away having towed the caravan here with the replacement car & am going to Donington on Sunday to watch the BTCC instead.

Steve.
