Did they have one in stock?
I'll be surprised if they did

They didn't!

Any update on the club finding someone to make these?

I don't think the club has an active interest in remanufacturing parts (unlike the Stag owners club) Its usually left up to individuals, and when people have remarked about making these (especially these pipes) then, no one has shown any interest.

www.silverstormai.com make up this kind of (stainless) pipes for other engines in the Rover range, might be worth having a word with them.

Part supply is really the Raison d'être for Automobile Clubs, maybe some representation on behalf of the club could be made towards xpart reguading demand for these pipes? They don't seem to have got any of these pipes made up in the couple of years they have been pretty much NLA. There is a huge demand brewing, and if they can't get a simple part like a pipe made up..... after all, they did do it for TF cooling pipes...

Default KV6 Oil cooler mod ~ Metal to rubber pipes

Meanwhile we're plodding on bypassing the rusty pipes with high spec/temp 19mm reinforced rubber hoses.
Make sure they are routed away from the exhaust downpipe.
(affix to TOP of subframe and NOT behind)

The lack of demand is probably down to Garages/owners having to find a solution on the day the corrosion or leak is discovered.

Rimmers cancelled my back order for qty 10 pipes a while back.

BTW there are 2 types of oil cooler for the KV6.
The early type (phased out around early 2002) has much larger hoses 40mm IIRC.

I still have a perfect older, larger pipe...that didn't fit my later, smaller piped 190..

Jules, why don't you start selling 'kits' of correct lengths of the suitable type of rubber, connectors and jubilee rings?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but did anyone manage to find a cheap source of a ss pattern part? I notice Rimmers stock PFV000090SS at £92 inc vat!

I could do with one asap. Mine has all but corroded to nothing.

Rimmers do a price match which works quickly, and I use all time now. I bought the set of pipes last week. The cheapest I could find online were Vitesse? . So I got the pricematch against these guys , basically about £10 cheaper. Been using rimmers for years and I can't fault them. A lifeline in my area of little or no spares suppliers.

What are the chances.....

I have just bought a 2nd hand one from eBay for £20 delivered.

When it arrives, I will measure it up and get a few local ss manufacturers to quote on a one off and a batch quantity. I only use the 190 for shows/meets etc anyhow and it will be garaged for the winter months soon, so not a major problem.

Thanks, as always for your responses gents. Much appreciated.
