Some would say they are very topical

Just wondering if anyone else has issues with the DVR/dashcam.

On my unit, the speed is reading less than half of that which it should be. It also seems to have a random way of writing over the files on the TF card. On conventional DVRs, the oldest file is overwritten first. My TF card had files from 6 weeks ago but not 6 days, or even 6 hours ago? Also, when the DVR app is selected while iGo is running, I get a “satellite signal lost” announcement.

The issue with half speed on the screen is known by me. Remember Jeff that I told you about it on the National in Gaydon.
I also get the message GPS signal lost. About the other item I'm not sure.

Jeff was thinking it had to do with the unit that is designed for BMW.

Off topic; Jeff, have you looked at the unit with reversecamera on that on my unit the bottom lines are gone when unit on?

Gerard

I have both these issues, but the reverse camera bottom line is sometimes there, sometimes not. The speed on the DVD is certainly not right, didn't notice if it was half speed though. I have had several examples of it freezing up, mostly on extended journeys, after which it doesn't turn off when reaching home until it's on board battery dies.

Neither are major for me, but oddities none the less.

I do indeed remember now that my memory has been jogged.
My thoughts on the BMW side of things is when it is connected to canbus on the BMW installed units, this is only a guess though!
I have reported back to Sean what my feelings were with regards the camera screen res when running through the tyre pressure monitoring system.
Have you tried running the systems apart just to check like we said?
