Right some good news for you light oak fans , Simon will be in production in about a week !
He sent me a sample and I tried it against an OEM light oak dash at last weekends nano and it a pretty darn good match ! He needs to make a few sheets of it before he can start supplying so please give him a week before you make any enquiries but after that any of the kit he sells in walnut will also be available in light oak. I would appreciate it if and when a member gets some light oak kit fitted if you would post a few pictures on this thread and give your opinions on the colour match.

Please note that anyone who has the Dynavin unit the same as Teddy above - the cost of the walnut facia is £18 which includes delivery or is an option on the main kit - see updated schematic below
With thanks to custy clerk ( Nige ) for the use of his light oak dash, here are a couple of daylight pictures showing the colour match of Simons light oak Simon has also made for a member an addition to the clock and thumbwheel set, chrome rings that go around the outside as pictured below on my car, I cant decide if they look a bit OTT together with the existing chrome so opinions would be welcome. In any event you have the choice to go for the full set as I now have fitted for £10 + £1 delivery, or if you want the new outer rings only they are £6 +£1 delivery Simon is also now doing a walnut cover for the single din surround as fitted in the later cars, this is part of the main kit and can be ordered as an option Door cappings are coming soon, and finally a new updated schematic below, all the above updates will also be included at post 1 of this thread

I asked Simon to do the outer rings for the vents and then thought about one for the clock but if the vents have a ring around them there wouldn't be room for the clock ring unless very thin.
I haven't had a chance to measure for him as I'm not with the car this week, if anyone could measure the distance between the clock and one of the middle two vents please, and post it I will email him. |

More chrome I see hmmmmm, will order and decide when in place whether to fit or not
I'm wondering on whether the inner glove box drop down would benefit some walnut like the rear armrest.

has to be said the picture of the test sample does look a great match , hopefully those of us with light oak can get some soon, we are sitting patiently in anticipation.
