Replacing centre exhaust section
When replacing the centre section on a v6,i take it that the original needs cut of at the front end and the new one clamped on as the original is a complete piece with no joins

Correct
Correct. If fitting it yourself it can be quite awkward to get the whole thing sitting correctly. There is not an abundance of fixing points so the new section must be clamped quite tightly to keep original shape. Especially if you are doing it when crawling under the car on axle stands and ramps. Much easier if you can get car on a garage style hoist/lift
If getting it done at an exhaust place...not your problem Chris |
