If Borg & Beck make a slave cylinder system to fit the 75/ZT range we really out to look at it seriously. It's the first reference I've seen to any alternative except the Freelander one. Maybe that's a Borg & Beck anyway?

i have the freelander slave, this is my second one as the first broke within 100 miles meaning i had to pay double the labour as you need to supply it to a garage, no garage will seem to supply this to fit the 75 or zt...

Second time around, slave seems ok 500 miles later the same old heavy clutch in every single 75/zt diesel!

That's not caused by the slave, which is the same as the petrol models. The heavy clutch action is due to the different temper in the diesel's diaphragm spring system.

Default Freelander cylinder on ebay

I found this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

Bargain, me thinks, however no manufactrer declared. So asked the seller about the manufacturer and was informed it is either allamkes (I have no idea what it means) ot Britparts´ own brand. He says they fit them for some time already. Would anyone have an experience with it? I would prefer to buy some renowned brand but haven´t found anything from Borg and Beck on ebay yet.

This is what I cant understand, people go on about the "heavy"clutch in the CDT 75 They then bleed it and low and behold a lighter clutch! How? As TC says the diaphram springs are what determins the weight of he clutch

OK, gone for the 3 in 1 Borg and Beck kit, hope it doesn't turn out to be naff (fingers crossed)

Having said that, the original clutch in my E-type was Borg and Beck, but since then they have been taken over by Delphi, so who knows. At least it has a 2 year warranty so it can't be that bad, can it??

No I checked on there web site, they make them now, as well as dual mass flywheels. They also make 4 part replacements for dual mass flywheels to make them solid flywheels again (don't know about Rovers though)
