Default ABS Sensor Replacement Options -2004 MG ZT CDTi,

Hi all,

I was looking for some advice on purchasing an ABS sensor (Seems one of my front sensors need replaced).

In terms of replacements it seems you can pay anything you like for from £20 up to £100+. I seen a Pagid aftermarket sensor on carparts4less for £75, Rimmers have an MG-Rover original part for £60, or an aftermarket part for £30 (from memory). Also DMGRS.co.uk have a replacement sensor for £30 which is MG-Rover original and with warranty (never actually used dmgrs before).

I want to ask the group where have they got their replacement ABS sensors when needed? Any bad experiences with cheaper aftermarket parts or Pagid parts? or with the MG-Rover original parts?

At present I'm inclined to get the Pagid part from carpartsforless, mainly because I've used that site before for buying stuff for my previous motors.

Thanks everyone for reading.
Regards,
H

Thanks Snowman, appreciated.

Just had another look at the dmgrs site, and its £30 and a 5 year warranty. can't ask fairer that that really. I will give probably give dmgrs a go for this sensor.

Apologies for the delay, but just wanted to update this post incase anyone is looking for advice.

ABS sensor (front) from dmgrs fitted some weeks ago and has been working fine with no issues (except that I asked the Mechanic to fit it to the wrong wheel in the first case).

I am pleased with the service, speed of delivery and a fair price, especially since I was considering paying £70 for an aftermarket part from Eurocarparts.

Hopefully someone else will find this info useful.

Hi there, just having a problem with my ABS over in sunny Glengormley. Did your warning light just come on, or other symptoms?

Thanks
Roger
