Brake pad warning light
Hi, today whilst drivingmy 2.0 2000 'W' petrol 75 i noticed the brake pad warning light came on.
Is there anything that can 'trick' this light into coming on as it came on very suddenly but the brakes feel excellent. I dont mind replacing the pads in they need it but they feel great, but im yet to check the wear on the pads. Ant |

Check the pads for wear obviously but the cable can get "worn" or broke or if not changed on changing of Pads it fails.
It is an advance warning so Brakes will still work fine. |

Under standard conditions, the wear sensor typically pops on when the pads have a thousand miles or more of service left in them. The brakes may feel normal, but the warning is saying 'Prepare to renew the pads fairly soon'.
