Default Cannot open drivers door from inside

Hi Guys,
Drivers door won't open from inside. Have to wind down window and use outside handle. No resistance felt at all when pulling inside handle.
Any ideas anyone please ?

The cable might've come off the hook, pop the screw cover off and remove handle, you should see the hook. If it's broken, then door card off to repair/replace

Yes, the hook is broken right at the end. Is there a bodge one can do ?? Glue ?? Looks like it's a plastic hook ? Thanks
Alternatively is replacing the wire a big job ?

Much appreciated. Thank You. I presume the lever and it's backing has to be pushed back in from the rear because I cannot get it all in pushing it in from the front while the door is completely intact ??

Hi Steve you could try this below.

Purchase a curtain hook, and also use an electric connector fig 1
1

screw the curtain ring into the connector, and then crimp it.
2

Push the door cable into the other end of the connector and crimp, open the curtain hook and put it through the door handle puller
3

Close the hook bac up and put wire through the slot in the handle.
4

These are what i use.
5

I made a few up recently in hope we may have a Nano meet in the near future
6

Alternatively you could use a chock block and some wire as below.

Originally i used and earth connector

Brilliant, Thank you.
Having unscrewed the drivers inside door lever and taken it out, I am now having trouble putting it back in!!!
Will it just push in from the front ?? Thanks

Hi colleagues, how do I open the right back door if they can't open from either side? Thank you for the advice.
