Default heated seats

question about my wifes 45 not my 75. I am getting it ready to sell as we no longer need two cars, it has the full leather interior and I belive the front seats are the same or similar to the 75's and the heated seats dont work properly. when activated they work for a miniute or so and then the fuse blows. the switches, relays and everything else seem to work so I am thinking that maybe the impedance in the heating elements is wrong.

Does anyone know what it should be or have any idea what might be causing this?

as always many thanks in advance.

Sounds though the fuse rating is incorrect, best check in handbook.

No tried that, even tried a fuse rated ten amps higher, same thing which is what makes me think wrong Impedence or a short circuit.

Thanks anyway.

I had this fault on my old 820, where the cabling went from top to bottom on the seat it had been worn away by a metal stiffening strut and shorted out the cabling it would stay on for a small ammount of time until it heated up and blew the fuse, some self amalgamation tape sorted it.Im not saying this is the answer but a combination of our resolutions may solve the problem.Happy hunting.

Thanks Andrew,

This is sounding quite likely, looks like a weekend of stripping down seats for me before I can put it on the market!

thanks
