Very interesting I never realised that. I shouldn't worry just change it for the correct stuff as soon as you can & maybe do a thousand miles or so & drop it again just as a flush but I'll check & see what's suitable our oil rep is very helpful with stuff like that
I know Land Pigs have a lot of phosphor bronze in their boxes but no idea about Marinas though I would think the synchro rings probably are

Thanks mate. Makes me wonder why they sell ep90 gl5 spec as it seems it is incompatible with most stuff except HGV stuff.

Right then me awld mucker my oil man says "YOU WANT THAT OUT!" they do a total driveline oil which we use here & he says it's both GL4 & GL5 friendly (different chemical) but yes GL5 will rot the yellow metals in your box. If you can get hold of GB Lubricants then it's called Gerion TDL 80-90

How many pints is that now

You can keep the kebab.......no offence but I dont like that monkey meat.

It's harmful but doesn't act that quickly like I said just change it as soon as humanly possible & maybe change it again after a few miles, the only difference between the 2 oils is there's more of the additive in GL5, it's still there in GL4 but not as strong so not harmful
