Just got back from town. The old gearboxes were very robust if you treated them with respect. At the stately pace you will be driving, don´t think it makes any difference till you can figure out which grade it should be. Colin will sort it for you I think I am going to keep an eye out for Marina -extras- Really good fun doing up a 70s jaloppy I´m waiting for the summer so I can drag the Stag out and get all the bits Ive accumulated on it (REAL wood dash in mahogony, all new diles etc etc), New windscreen and rubber. I think you will have a real good time with it at shows, as it is a model that EVERYone can relate to (how many had the were with all for a Stag certainly not me Mk II Cortina or a 105E

Hi Alan, do you mean your getting a Marina? Remember the two tone front wings? Well I am in the process of making a dogs breakfast of them.

I'll pretend I didn't hear that
Right then squire according to my Castrol chart they had 90 in from new but they reccommend when you change it to put Hypoy Light in which if I remember rightly was 75/80 or possibly straight 80 & this would be to make the gearchange slicker especially in cold conditions. It's not the same box as the MGB as it only holds 0.9 litres whereas an MGB holds 3 litres so I reckon the B box is out of the old Horrace Moxford |
