Default caravan tow car

Hi all,bought a 4 birth caravan,found to be to heavy for my 1.8.been looking at 2.5 coni;s petrol.any advise thanks gary

the 2.5 lt will do the job but you will pay at the pump ...... Diesel has lots of pulling power and will be cheaper to run in both tax and mpg

petrol if you like the noise etc but lpg is a must, it will begger you in a month otherwise or diesel, or do what i do i have a nissan patrol lpg that tows "things" things being anything short of a house and the mgs for everyday use

My only comment - the 260 makes a great tow car (if followed by a petrol tanker)

I towed my Bailey Ranger 2 berth from Chester to Gibraltar (and back ! ).

Problem.... speed kept gradually increasing up to 70mph on the long straights, had to keep reminding it to calm down. No problems at all, mountain passes easy peasy.

Car ... 1999 cdt ( lower power version) and no Ronbox. (fitted later )

Whats a Ron box consist off and how much may look for a diesel my self
