Help. Flat battery and key won’t open the door.
I have a rover 75 cdti tourer facelift model and the battery is dead and key won’t open the door. Any ideas?
Searched and people say you can open bonnet somehow? Please help. |

have you a tow bar and towing electrics? I think you can charge the battery via towing electrics but I would need to look up the wiring to tell you which pins

Jack up the car and remove the under-tray if you have one.
Clip a battery charger to the main terminal on the starter motor. ( Red lead, positive. )--Clip the negative lead to a metal part of the cars bodywork.--- Switch on the charger and open your doors as normal. Easy peasy.---- |

Won't the key open it manually? It should do, I've taken the battery off mine in the past, locked and unlocked the doors with the key
