how do you remove the cigarette lighter housing

i fitted my driver side cup holder and as i pulled the blank out the cigarette lighter cover lowered and now wont stay closed so i need to remove it and see whats going on find out if i need a new one or just realigning.
so dose any one know what ill need to remove to get this out?

Pull the blanking cover off from under the heater controls. You will then need to pull the black cover off that is clipped on the heater controls which will give you access to 4 screws, undo these then you can pull the controls out and this makes the ash tray part loose but you may need to give it a firm pull as it may be in nice and tight.
