Default Auto box transmition oil

I have an MG ZT-t auto tourer on 56 plate I wish to top up auto gearbox but all the motor accessories it says to refer to handbook for the grade of fluid. However there is nothing in the handbook that tells me. Can anyone help please

Chris, you dont just top-up the Jatco autoboxes. see posts on this forum for the complex procedure and the very special fluid required. regards, M.

The fluid is available from X part or Rimmer bros. Part no VYK00040. The complete fluid should be changed at 60k miles. No topping up as unless you have a leak would not be required. There is no dipstick to check as the correct ammount of fluid is put in at the time of change.

Default AUTO Fluid

There is a strict procedure to follow when changing the auto fluid, it holds 8 litres but you can only drain 4 litres and the level plug is on the BOTTOM not the side. Do not undo anything on the sides of the auto box.
