Well, I've just been out for a leisurely drive around some dark country roads and I'm very impressed. I can see a lot more of the road ahead of me and in a totally different way. Everything looks so more natural.
Overall pleased with the results.
And I also managed to fix the fault on our other car today too, so a productive day all round.

Not in my opinion, but I do agree with Er indoors, she claims the light from the HID's is more relaxing on the eyes.

No extra MOT requirements for HIDs other than alignment same as any headlight.

Until April 2013.

All cars with an OEM HID set-up will pass if they have washer jets and suspension / electronic self leveling sensors / arms etc that require no live adjustment by the driver.

If you retrofit, you must comply to OEM spec to pass your MOT but it may take time before that makes it into "illegal" on the road as such..

My wife has the same kit in her car now with 6k bulbs in her Rover 25, its great value for money and ive got the same kit going into my 75 next month.

Not true at present. I have read the MOT testers manual. "If fitted" they must work.

My ZTT had the washers but not the self leveling. The manual wheel in the car works as normal though.

Thats why I said April 2013, no manual adjustment is aloud.

We already are having issues with it here, for example, the Lancer Evo 6 2005 comes OEM with HID kit, but no washers. MOT centres are failing them and its the start of furthur clarification here.
