I've got some garden planters to paint but although the forecast says dry there's a wee bit drizzle floating around and it looks like it could rain at any time.

The rain has stopped here but it's still dismal, I've powerwashed the decking (still not got any stain sorted out ) and snowfoamed the car because it got splattered with green algae muck off the decking.

Got to take dad to the Bolton hospital eye dept in half an hour, hope that's not packed out, the last few times we've had to park a bus ride away friom the dept

Got a couple of coats on the underside but bending over didn't do much for my back! Tried sitting down but couldn't see if I was getting the wood preservative right into the joins, had to stand bent over looking down on them. Got the upper surfaces to do tomorrow.

That looks very well detailed Freddie - can I ask who made it?
I'm after a similar scale model of a MkII Escort rally car

What a lovely day it has become - after a coolish start and a bit of cloud at lunchtime, we now have clear blue skies and pleasantly warm temperatures - my old bones, joints and muscles (fat?) are starting to relax

Evening all, well the sun finally made an appearance mid afternoon when I was at Bolton hospital with dad, It's a beautiful warm evening here now.

Finally got some Cuprinol natural oak decking stain from B&M Bargains and much cheaper than anywhere else for the same stuff.

If it's going to be dry & warm like the forecast says I'll get it done this weekend.

The hospital was jam packed as usual and after 45 years of driving I've just found out A/C works very nice, I've never bothered with it before in any car I've ever owned must be getting owd.

Well I tip my hat to Rod & the good Rev for mentioning Henry Weston's medium dry vintage cider, I think I've only tried the sweet stuff & it's too sweet for me, this dry is beautiful.
I picked up a couple of bottles at Aldi the other day.

I'm just tucking into meatballs & spaghetti with the posh guys (Grossman) garlic red pepper sauce and a cold bottle of Henry Weston's cider. Bootiful.
