Which bulbs?
First I must apologise for asking, sorry. I've been told before, written it down and am now confused.
Which bulbs for main and dipped beam for projector head lights on a facelift? Handbook says Headlight dipped beam H7 Headlight main beam for cars with halogen dipped beam headlights H1 Headlight main beam for cars with halogen projector blue version or xenon dipped beam head lights H9 writing the post it seems clear, I think I need H7 and H1 but what is halogen projector blue version ? Am I right, H1 and 7? macafee2 |

9?? really? Now I'm more confused.
9 just does not match handbook description. I feel I'm arguing with you suzublu but I'm not, I'm confused mind you the handbook does not tell you what bulbs are in the fog macafee2 |

I think the handbook relates to halogen reflectors Ian which are H7 dipped, H1 main. Projectors, which facelifts have, are H9 main beam.
Fogs are either H1 or H11 https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001652 Last edited by suzublu; 12th September 2019 at 18:04.. |

I just ordered and received dipped and main beam bulbs from powerbulbs.com. I had done a lot of research on here, and knew it was H7 for the dipped lights, and probably H9 for mains...but the powerbulbs web site led me to order H1 main bulbs, as that is what their "find bulbs to fit my car..." comparator said.
But of course, having driven 50 miles to Tayport for Chris to fit them (changing headlight bulbs without whipping off the bumper and taking out the lights is for long, snake-armed individual contortionists only..), they were the wrong ones - of course, I needed H9 bulbs! Grrr! I emailed powerbulbs.com and told them their information was wrong. They blamed Osram, who apparently supply them with their fitment information. Curious that they only have one legal type of H9 halogens for sale - PIAA ones at £33! They still have not changed the site information. So - don't be fooled like me!

Fair comment, but Powerbulbs should then break down their Rover 75 entries to include reflector and projector types, or at least mention say facelift cars need H9...no?

I found M-Tech bulbs in H9 give out a whiter tint Xenon kits can also be fitted to projector units, but that's another thread |
