Good afternoon friends. who does not have the badge Rover for a premium bumper? Can you send it to Russia? I will pay for the shipment.

I know that not many owners will have MG7 grilles on their cars that require these badges, but some have and if they are like mine after a few years since they were new in 2013 they will be fading and I have been considering commissioning another run if there is enough interest.
Although we originally paid for the tooling to make the badges the manufacturer says that it is no longer usable and a new tool at £140 + vat will be needed, after which badges will be £17 plus vat each. To make this viable it needs a few owners willing to pay something over the badge price to help with the tooling, as an example if 10 people were interested and willing to pay £36 it would cover the tooling and 1 badge each, plus another £20 would get a second badge. Currently there is a seller on E bay who has a handful of these badges for sale at £50 each plus postage, he is also using a picture of my car in his sales pitch, and although he has acknowledged me and the car it would have been nice if i had been approached before the sale went live on E Bay to ask if i minded my car picture being used. If anyone has seen the e Bay posting, please note that I have no connection with it. If anyone is interested in this offer please post your name on this thread

I wonder how much mine is worth now then I still have it from the last batch you had commissioned even though I never had the grill for it. 1 2

Fading after only six years? Do you mean the red colour is bleaching from sunlight? If so, I think I'd prefer some colourfast guarantee before paying the expected price for another. I also have one still unfitted to my still unfitted MG7 bumper. The enthusiasm I had also faded somewhat after finding how poorly the MG7 part actually fits around the facelift headlamps. I still plan to do it, but when I don't know. TC |

Hi TC , not sure what the expected shelf life of a badge is these days, but after 6 years thay have certainly outlasted the oem badge I had on my previous bumper

Is the red colour fading or is it the resin surface that's fogging?
My Mk1 OEM badge is still like new. It stands in the sunshine 24/7/365 but only does a few thousand miles a year. TC Last edited by T-Cut; 14th October 2019 at 21:56.. |
