I don't connect it to the internet any more as the Windows 10 version on it is no longer supported.
I've got an SSD with Ubuntu OS on it that's destined for that PC, Just not got around to it yet as I'm not sure how to go about setting up a duel boot drive to use both systems.
I don't need the head scratching & headaches at present to be bothered

Try downloading the "Windows 10 Update Assistant" from the Microsoft website Ian.
It bypasses the inbuilt, automatic updates software within Windows, checks your machine for capacity etc. and then downloads the newest version - it's not quick but it does work

Doing my Gordon Ramsay impersonation again or should it be Ken Hom! Stuck in the kitchen all morning cooking the filling for the rest of the spring roll mega order. Need it to cool before I can start making the spring rolls.

Cloudy but in theory its going to stay dry. Having a break and letting filling cool down before starting the production line again!

Afternoon all, It's gone very dark here, The Beeb forecast says 3:00pm for the rain to start here.
Just cleared the last tomato plants out of the greenhouse & a few bell pepper plants and did some tidying up around the garden as it's garden refuse bin day tomorrow.

Cheers Rod I'll have a look into that again, It doesn't remove the software I have installed on the PC does it? I tried some windows update thing a while ago that changed some things in the registry but it still failed to install right at the end

I never had any luck with the other two Win 10 desktops I had, the big updates left quite a few error messages popping up all the time plus audio missing on one PC. I re-wrote Linux over the Win 10 hard drives as I'd had enough.
One desktop PC even said the Win 10 OS wasn't activated even though It'd been running & activated for at least 6 years previous

Allegedly the rain isn't going to come this far north . . . . we'll see.

Hi Steve, how are you?

Yesterday I met up with the mechanic and he changed the VIS motors for Stocktake’s latest upgraded ones. When the V6 was taken for a test drive, it was found to be pulling to the right. Recently both rear wheels have been off and the ABS replaced. Tomorrow I have the car booked in for 4 wheel alignment. Should I also ask for balancing or will the alignment take care of the balancing?

The rain arrived here Still quite a bit of wetness in the garage from the previous downpours . Don't go near Lemathe on the Deutsche bahn! I've just derailed a class 143 coupling up to freight wagons & I've done what anybody would do! I jumped down from the cab & ran off

Alignment will suffice Phil, the wheels only need balancing when tyres have been changed.

Thanks Andy. All of the tyres are new and now I remember they were balanced. Thanks for the tip.
