I doubt the problem's relatd to the fan wiring. Seems more ECU related I'd say.

Is the fan behaving oddly?

Can you make ma a screenshot to be able to see what you see, as I see them without problems on Firefox and Chrome?

I put .pdfs if pictures are not good.

Out of focus on Safari too, however the pdf version works. Sorry no screenshot as I've reached my images allowance.

@Roverlike

This is what I see in standard Firefox.

Firefox and Chrome have a fix for it but not everyone uses these browsrs. I deactivated mine and now use a different image host. I see Tinypic have also extended Photobucket's ransom. Don't know whether the PB fix also works for Tinypic. I'm slowly editing Photobucket out of my HowTos so that anyone can see the images whatever browser they use. I think everyone affected by it should abandon Photobucket.

I now have the IPK diagnostics working OK and the engine temperature tracks with the normal rise, however it gets to +100 without the fan coming on so I guess its probably the infamous silver resistor. Next stop fit a gold one.

Blimey, you still have the MGR resistor? Bet it failed eons ago.
You can get upgraded 'gold' resitors from site traders, e-Bay or electronics outlets like Farnell.

No it failed around 2 weeks ago. Ordered Gold from CPC Farnell.
