Default Mirror Shells

I've noticed that one of my wing mirror shells is becoming a tad tatty of late (chrome plating departing) and I wonder if anyone could offer advice on either refurbishing or replacing one or both ?

They are chrome plated on plastic, so don't think refurbishment is a viable option, secondhand replacement covers are often available on here or eBay. There is a post to popping the covers off on this site.

Bullets or Scullcaps Bill ? Bullets you need to pop the mirror glass out, reach inside with pliers, squeeze the little tabs at the back & ease the cover off. Sculls you need to use a credit card or thin blade to ease the cover off around the edges

Yeah, those are the skullcaps. Simple job to replace these. Like Suzublu says, just ease them off gently along the edge and replace with new.

Cheers,
Karl.

This is the LH one.
Rimmer: https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-CRC100250MMM

Bear in mind these are £36 each plus delivery, so you won't get much change from £80 a pair.

EDIT: You could also try eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-25-...MAAOSwmrJdTEdz
