Morning everyone, cloudy & damp here. I'd put some socks on if I could bend down.

Another cup of coffee then it's off to work I go.

I have the pleasures of Caister, Great Yarmouth and Hopton today

Wet and dull here today too.
Just local jobs today, shuttling various school kids around Newcastle.

I thought Jeff might have overshot and be in Lancashire today! It's started to rain & I've been left in charge of laundry day whilst her indoors goes out to the weightwatchers club

Typical! a ton of laundry to do & it's raining, thunderstorms warnings to boot.

Whirlpool haven't been in touch about the recall on our tumble drier since telling me to unplug it and not to use it
I might have to use it today.

No rain in Bristol for a while. Took the last rain-water out of one of my water butts for the plants veterday. The other only is 1/4 full. Not complaining though.

Good morning Jeff, here is a photo of a device I bought in a marine shop in Great Yarmouth. It has night vision, infra red, image intensifier and your name is on it..... The guy in the shop said it was ex-police stock. They had been using them to catch doggers, perverts and smugglers.

I used it when I went out with a mate on his speedboat on the Thames estuary. It was useful for spotting flotsam and bits of wood floating in the water at night. Sometimes we would come back late after having a fun time water skiing etc, and these days, I don’t have a need for the device anymore, you can have it FOC Catch you later.

Good morning all - I is still 'ere - just a bit busy
SWMBO now seems to be on the mend, albeit slowly. The visits to the loo have stopped, but she keeps on having dizzy spells now & then and daren't walk too far without me to support her. Remember René's mother in law in 'Allo 'Allo who used to lay in bed and bang on the floor with her walking stick when she wanted anything - yes, you've got the picture - Angela is auditioning for that role in the remake
She had her first solid food yesterday since last Tuesday night, so that is a big step in the right direction
I'm chef, cook, pot boy, bottle washer, care assistant, washer, drier, garden attendant and waterer, fish feeder - you name it, I'm it.
As I've been cooking for myself, and I'm not a very good chef, I've had some 'interesting' meals. I did enjoy the Heinz Big Soup - which I served on a plate (instead of in a bowl) with chips, livened up a bit with a few grains of curry powder and cayenne pepper
