It's home, and I really like it.
In true diesel fashion, it is suffering with a failed MAF sensor. Also on rough ground, there is a knocking from the driver's side front. Its probably a drop link. Thankfully it is all covered under warranty. Dropping the car off on Monday at the dealer to get repaired, and I am getting a courtesy car too. Thought it might be worth pointing out that even newer cars still have the same problems as the 75's. |

Rich - never met you but I have enjoyed your posts and pictures, a great help and always a good read. I appreciate your thorough approach
Enjoy the new motor, and keep tinkering. I wonder what the Kia forums are like?! We are very much spoilt as R75 owners, I realise that from trying to find answers for the same sort of questions for our Fords, for instance...

An update!
The new Optima is a cracking car, I am very pleased, very much indeed I have achieved 30mpg towing, and nearly 70mpg on a run, not towing obviously. The initial problems, turned out to be a failed injector and a duff shock absorber, replaced under warranty obviously Other than that, fault free, turn key driving, a bit boring really, but I am getting used to the reliability It is nice to just get in the car and drive it. No plenums, no HGF, no other foibles, and all problems fixed under warranty anyway. I would like to get a car to tinker with, but as the missus points out, there is only space for one here Here is a photo of the new wheels as she looks now Hopy your 75 and ZT's are ok Rich |
