BBUS swap using TOAF
Evening all.
Looking to retrofit a mk1 headlight washer setup. Any suggestions on what ZCS coding is needed to swap out the BBUS using TOAF please? Thanks in advance. Neil

Hope it works as it'll be noisy as hell if it doesn't go right first time!

You dont have to coding zcs,
Just go to bcu coding Look for alarm and sounder options You will find there 2 points to setup In the first one setup third option And in the second option below, setup fourth option Sorry but I don't remember exact name of options. You can try without bbus connected this will guarantee silence during configuring. After saving configuration. Turn off ignition and try if headlights washer work. And also check if you remote lock your car and tried to open it from inside. If turn lights will flash.. If yes, then connect bbus and everything should be ok. |

There has been massive damage done to the traders on here in loss of revenue etc which considering these guys have been the backbone of this community and pay the club to advertise their services , just isn't fair ! The TOAF guys have been asked time and time again to sign up as traders but have declined to do so, not even going as far as being subscribed members. They state it is because their product is 'Free' and use the donate facility to say they aren't being paid, but you have to donate to 'unlock certain features' Most of us recognise that the idea and product is a good thing but certainly not the way they have gone about peddling it out on here. They have their own forum and they are on Facebook so if anyone wants their product it's still readily available on those platforms . I think you will find that we run the very real risk of any remaining traders leaving the fold if this type of thing happens again. It really is a case of 'use them, or lose them'!

It is the way of the world at the moment, keep up or fall back. People develop new things and people that are set in their ways are scared by that. I personally think that the development of TOAF was a fantastic achievement towards keeping all recent MGR models on the roads and that this forum has derailed something that would be beneficial to all, again. The simple fact that the likes of Brian and Phil endorsed this work says enough to me. I would love to hear from any traders that genuinely believe they lost out from the distribution of free software. After all, all modern software works on this platform, free to start and pay to unlock a full version. To add, it was pay to unlock the ability to add keys (from what I understand). Plus it turns out you could do this for free in the end anyway. As to longer86 paying trader fees, maybe he should, but maybe we should support him with that to help keep our MGR dream alive. P.S. Longer86 you cannot rip off other peoples remaps..... |

I agree that the product as such is good and could be of benefit, what I don't agree with is them pretending it is free whilst taking donations and not paying traders fees on here like everyone else who trades has to

These peeps have been part of the life blood of the forum and have got many a member out of a hole with their help (much of it unpaid) Do we really want to lose this ? I know I don't. Having said that progress is good and so long as they follow the rules set down for all of us on here then all is fair and maybe the guys could all work together for the better good of all concerned
