Default weird things in my rear bumeper

good afternoon ,

so today because i had nothing better to do I took the rear bumper down so i can fix the parking sensors when i stumble upon this things , i have no idea what are they , or why are there for , so if anyone knows please enlighten me

They are a kind of parking sensor, I had them on a Jag I owned, they are rubbish.

really ? i never saw anything like this ... So i can take them off with no problems? I have no idea who put them there , but a 5 year old kid would do a much better job ....

Hi.
MFL had exactly the same thing which I have removed. On selecting reverse you got a bleep from a sounder fitted to the offside rear pillar trim, it never did anything else! No doubt it did once upon a time!
