I have bought and used the fixings on the following link. I find the fixings very secure.

Well, l unfortunately ordered a set of the original ones posted before the bad reports were issued. So l've ordered a set of the DMGRS items too. Best safe than sorry.
When they get here l'll get on to the overdue oil-change.

MG Rover's spec. includes a nylon retaining washer to prevent that happening. None of the aftermarket sellers appear to offer these.

Ah, I did mean that they fall out of the retaining clip, not fall out of the tray.

I oil changed & fitted these from Mat at DMGRS yesterday.

Recommended... nice and secure fitting, but they are so clean and shiny I found myself washing and AutoGlym-ing the bottom (and topside!) of the undertray to do them justice!

Good grief... I need help..!

Happy Roving

In my experience, if they become detached from the receptacle and do not have the washer fitted, they will drop out of the tray and on to the road.

Personally I gave up on these fixings a while ago having had the undertray hanging down on a few occasions, I now use strong tie grips on mine, certainly not OEM but very effective

The genuine items are expensive for what they are, but do work and are still cheaper than a replacement undertray.
