Default To my mate W.H.A L.

To WILLYHECKASLIKE.

Thanks for your post number 18.--

I don't have any PM's left thus this post.---

No hidden agenda in my post . It is meant to be straight forward advice to somebody I thought at the time was being abused on the forum.

Nothing more and nothing less. It seems to be very hard to say your piece without it being misunderstood. The smilies help and I use them whenever possible.

Face to face this sort of thing would probably never happen.

The internet is such an unreliable form of communication.

Anyway WILLY.-----

Talking

And who is this willieheckaslike? No such username on these boards.

I will pm you soon, can't be more definite as currently not easy for me to find time to be active online because of offline pressures - bereavement probate and all things associated with it etc., etc., etc.. But I would agree that misunderstanding is the bane of the internet.

As a blue pm's are severely rationed, he's used up his allowance hence Colvert's post to bring it to the attention of someone who he wishes to contact. Not an uncommon situation on these boards and I've seen it happen quite often. I posted above as I share a similar username and thought to respond with a view to bringing some clarification to the matter, whatever that might be. But for now I know nothing - nothing at all.

Humble apologies WILLY.---Please remember I'm 82 and have lost most of my faculties.---

PS. Also most of my peers too, who have, unfortunately, lost their lives.--

And I see that you've lost your ability to clear your pm box too.

It might be easier to pay the tenner - Tightus Wadus, Eh? Lol.

Not tight at all WILLY.----My perspective is slightly different maybe.
I spend most of my time in the technical help forum. 99% of my posts are to try and help folk who have problems with their cars. To my mind it seems really strange to have to PAY to help other people. Can't think of anywhere else where this happens. __--

Also, as I'm a BLUE, I'm not allowed to post pics to help others. ( Sometimes a pic is worth a thousand words )

This does not spite me but all the forum members who would prefer a pic to words.
The directors need to look into this as there is not one grain of sense in it. The forum is dedicated to helping its members so could somebody explain to all the interested readers in what way does this help the members.

Nothing is perfect but can in time and with a grain of common sense be improved. This great car forum could be improved with very little effort for its members.

Further to the above post. Wouldn't it be GREAT if when we take our cars into a garage for a diagnostic or repair the garage actually paid us for letting them repair it.

( Like having to pay on here to help others. )----

Makes you wonder if any of those in charge have REALLY given this picture ban any thought.

It's a nonsense as it stands now.

PS. Just my opinion of course but has anybody else wondered at it ???

To clarify, John, we are not in agreement on a number of matters. It was never my intention in posting on this thread or on any other to bring focus on what you have mentioned above. I have great respect for those involved in the running of a site like this and most of those who have gone before them. I don't envy their shoes one bit. The pm I attempted to send you will not be repeated ... your choice my decision. Time and life is too short as it is.
