Default rear damper bolt

Got new rear springs to fit but cannot undo rear damper bolt anybody have any suggestions on loosening it as I know a few of you have done actually done them...many thanks....

I’ve had to use a 3ft pipe extension over a 3ft breaker bar to get mine shifted on the gold saloon.
If the cars only on ramps, with little height clearance, it can be difficult to get the socket in right position with such a long leverage though.

If you get really stuck, undo the damper mount at the top.

Dead easy on a saloon too....... only two M8 13mm A/F nuts to undo, then pull the mount downwards away from the body

The rubber skirt seal will remain in the body after you do this, so pull this out of the hole in the body, and refit it to the damper top mount.

Once you are ready to refit the damper to the body, a small spray of back to black or similar onto the rubber seal, and just push it back into the body from underneath, the design of the seal will hold the damper in place until you refit the nuts to the top mount

Many thanks for the info will give it a go tomorrow, forum has helped me a lot since buying my 75 so have decided to give a bit back and have subscribed to it...many thanks.....
