Default Dosing Pump



How difficult is it to replace the Dosing Pump, any complications to look out for.

Corrosion is the only real problem, other than that its a straight swap, two fuel pipes the electrical connector and a couple of nuts.

No need to undo nuts, it is rubber mounted. The rubber mounts each have a slot, through which the bracket hooks, so you can just unhook the pump. Possibly the thin metal bracket will be badly corroded - which then means cutting a bracket out of a bit of tin, bean can, or similar. To replace you you do need to undo the nuts.

I used a strip of galv steel sheet to make the bracket and blathered the area and the pump in thick grease. It should see the car out

Other than that, just a couple of pipes to unclip, and the electrical plug.

Do you have a year measurements / hole centres etc for the bracket please.

Nothing like that, sorry. I just made it to fit at the time with tin snips.

Don't be too rough when pulling the fuel pipe of the pump or this can happen.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433023335.712448.jpg

But then again, you may not be too worried about the old pump.😁
