Default Lower arm rear bush installation

Hello! My 75's rear bushes have become worn. Upon replacement, I'm struggling to push the new ones into place. I'm currently using a socket and hammer. Has anyone got a better method? Thanks!

Steve your probably correct, I'm thinking Ebay specials, bush hole way too small you can't really get them misaligned.
Just out of interest Joseph were did you get the bush from.

I too struggled for a while and couldn't get the new ones on at all. Then I took plasti lube (intended for battery terminals) which made a huge difference and turned it into an easy job.

Thanks for the replies everyone! They are eBay specials and are orientated the correct way. It's just the bushings I'm sure but luckily with a 30mm socket and hammer they have gone into place 🤞. Tomorrow I'll get around the fitting the arms back into the car.
