Default Glamis Extravaganza

Hi Yella Fella, The Caledonian Centre of the MG Car Club will be exhibiting again this year & we will probably have a ZT or two on our stand.

Your top pic showing our stand a few years ago has my Mirage ZT260 on the extreme left & last year my Mirage ZTT 190 & a s/c 260 were displayed!

Come & look us up!

Hi,
Ive been to Glamis a few times now and visited the Caledonia Stand each time. I will be there again in some form or other and I will look in to say hello to Ian Lindley and co. I remember your cars and very nice cars they are.

Id like Glamis to be an annual event for this club. We just need a few more members to commit to getting our own stand up and running this year.

Come on guys and gals. Any more?

A first for the 75 and ZT Owners Club. I propose we attend this event which is regarded as one to the major events on the car show calendar in Scotland.

I have been to this show over the past few years and its a great day out. Plenty to see from agriculture, military, motorbikes, steam, classic and modern cars, autojumble galore and much more.

What is noticeable has been the absence of 75's and ZT's. I can remember only one ZT on show which was on a local club stand so this is a great oppertunity to get the marque on show at a major event where there are no 75 or ZT representation. I firmly believe we will also pick up a few new members.

Here are some pics from previous years;

Points to note;

We can have up to 10 cars on our own stand (Larger stands can be applied for). Cost of the stand is £40 per 10 cars, so just £4 per car for the full day if we have 10 cars. This includes entry for two adults and two children (under 16) so not a bad deal! If we have more than 10 cars this figure will change.

Yella Fella will complete a Car Club Entry Form.

Closing date for entries for the 75 and ZT Owners is 5th May 2014. I should know the final cost per car at this time. Paypal to Yella Fella around this time also.

Yella Fella will need to send the Club Entry Form before 20th May 2014 and send payment for the stand.

Important; Please only register if you fully intend to come to this event. A this time we are looking to enter 10 cars only so if you register but pull out or dont turn up then effectively no one else can take your space because the organisers have issued 'your car' with a pass etc on the day. Another car cant take your space.

Cars on the stand by 9.30am on the day of the show.

Remember, the public and car enthusiasts will be on our stand to view the cars. Dont worry about the condition of your car, vehicles of all conditions are 'shown'. As long as you car is clean, polished and presented as well as it can be.

For your entry I will need the following;
  1. Year
  2. Make and Model
  3. Registration Number
Gone are;
1. Yella Fella. 2004 MGZT+ 1.8 Turbo. S4 GPN
2. AldoR. 2005 MGZT 260se. V8-MFU
3. Keithybhoy. 2003 190 ZT-T+ SC03 EBJ
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
Anymore and we can ask for a larger stand.

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the clubs public liability insurance. Also the owners club take no responsibility for the meet in any way.

Hi Dave,

Name added to the list, thanks.

The cost includes: Entry for two adults and two children (under 16). In previous years they havnt checked my car when booking in/regestring on arrival, so if you have a car full of folk, you may get away with it.

It's almost certain I'll be there but more than likely to be with my other car , the Dax Rush on The Scottish Kit Car Club stand....will obviously make a point of saying "Hi" and hope you will come and see us on our stand too

I need to send off the registration form in approx 4 weeks time.

So far we have only 4 cars.

Come on guys and gals, surely we can do better and proudly show off the marque.

Have a look at your diary and see if you can come along. It's a fab day out
