Been discussed elsewhere but I don't get why people have a problem with it.

A seller lists their car for what they want for it - the seller gets a buyer, the buyer can do what they want from there on in.

I thought it was too cheap, but I have zero interest in owning a zt. Enthusiasts had the same amount of opportunity to buy it as the dealer did.

And, besides....we don't know it was sold from the ad placed on here, all we know is it was advertised then marked as sold

That's their business does it really matter so long as the previous owner is happy with his price? Not criticising here, just an observation

There was a dealer who was a member and used to buy members cars, then readvertise them on eBay , got banned eventually for trading under the radar.

I agree - a common issue/problem. A few months back, there was a lovely low mileage (1600 miles) showroom condition MG Metro advertised by a private seller on classic car for sale UK - 5000 pounds. It sold fairly quickly, then re-appeared advertised by a dealer for 12,000 pounds !

It is down to wheeling and dealing (with a good helping of greed)

The problem is on this forum, we cannot expect to sell for dealer prices, don't know why, you would think as enthusiasts, the cars would command higher prices, but there's noting to say that Steve's car was sold via this site. As a matter of interest was the car advertised from the Manchester area, in particular Denton?

You do know why - it's because we're one of the reasons our cars sell so cheaply in the first place.

You only have to look at any thread that links to a car for sale to see people posting reasons why the car isn't worth the price being asked.

Truth is, that car appears on youtube, it is in exceptional order, it has oodles of history, it would have been so easy to market it for a lot more than it was listed at - but if he had, you can also be sure that there'd have been twenty posts here saying it wasn't worth it.

I see it as worth half way between the two prices, but if the dealer gets what he's asking for it, then what it's worth is what someone was willing to pay - not what a bunch of enthusiasts would, hypothetically, pay for it if they had any intention of buying it, which they didn't or they would have

I'm waiting for a dealer to buy mine for £245. What he does with it is up to him. Do I put a fresh MOT on it and ask £995?
I would like to offer it to members first in the spirit of the club community we are members of. Will not and cannot be annoyed if it ends up broken for parts or sold again.
