Default Stopped by Police for driving too slow at 01.00am!!!

Was called out last night as a hospital technician, when driving home, spotted police car in rear view, mindful of my speed I was followed for a mile doing 28mph in a 30 zone followed by another half mile at 48mph in a 50 zone, police pulled me over and claimed I was driving a bit slow, an excuse I think, they realised straight away that I hadn't been drinking and although he had the brethalyser in hand, he didnt bother, he wasnt rude but I was a bit annoyed as I just wanted to get home
So pulled over for driving too slow!! thats a new one on me :-)

Probably just being nosey. My next door neighbour used to be in the police, i remember him saying that alot of criminals used to travel about at night when they thought there was no one about.

It doesn't help that our speedos typically read 10% fast !
Your 28 might have been an actual 25

Yeah, I get fed up with people in front of me going too slow as well. He probably didn't want to overtake you in case you took that as a cue that he wanted a race !

Ali.

Happened to a friend of mine twice that I know of. He always drives carefully and slowly. That's the reason they gave for stopping him. Personally, I don't have a problem with it if it's at night and they think you might have been drinking.

Yip that. You were probably going slower than you thought and folk who've had a drink tend to be more cautious than usual. Although their reactions will obviously be slower.

He probably knew what we all should know about overtaking a car in front safely.

I'm beginning to think the police can't win?

Surely you want them pulling people over. Criminals drive cars of all types.
