Default How hard is it to park a car

Quite bored. Have been at home now waiting to go out since about 9.30 to do some errands.... Go to laundrette, buy new fish tank filters, get some shopping in and I still find myself sat on the sofa staring out of the window.
Why?
Because some complete idiot, some unthinking, rude, ignorant, feeble minded little fool has decided to foist their Ford Focus firmly across the end of my drive. Have tried knocking on neighbours doors to see if it's anyone known but so far drawn a blank, except that it definitely arrived sometime after 23.30 and before about 1am.
Will give it another hour and then calling 101....

I get this all the time as I live on a side road off a main shopping street.

I usually pull the car forward until it is only a few millimetres from the side of their car so they cant possibly move.

When they knock, make THEM wait

Last time this happened to me some years ago I sat in the car with my hand on the horn and left it there until some clown came out of a house about 10 doors down ran up apologising profusely and moved it.

Got to say By the time he arrived I had quite an audience.

Having been that person it's easily done. Unfamiliar area, it was dark and raining, i was late and had a million and one things on my mind, i just didn't notice that they had a dropped kerb in front of their house.
Don't be too hard on them, everyone makes mistakes.

Go out and cave in his drivers side window, release the hand brake and push it out of the way?

Rev
Like you do when they park outside your Church. I can see your congregation diminishing if you keep on like that..

You are forgetting that when Rev Jules caves in a window it heals itself soon after!

Haha- well, after an hour of patience on top of the others, I reluctantly rung the 101 people. They told me it was causing an obstruction, and was a priority and would be dealt with within an hour. Forty five minutes later the car sped off, meaning I was finally able to go about an edited version of my day.
Still, great service!

Or it was until about half an hour ago when 2 officers knocked at my door to investigate it and said they hadn't done anything yet when I thanked them

There is now another one parked across blocking the drive. I give up.... Going to have a glass of wine and forget the general public exist.

Rev Jules idea is tempting but perhaps a little more drastic than I had planned... Clearly the church has a far more forthright attitude to things these days than I remember from the occasional religious events of school days!
