Screenwash jet position
Does some kind soul have an image of the correct places to aim the screen wash jets that they can share? I've two 75s and the jet patterns are very different on each. The jets are not very effective on either car is and at least one jet is barely hitting the windscreen. I can adjust the position but before I start experimenting, it would be very helpful to know where they should be aimed.
I found this image at http://www.audizine.com/gallery/data...her_nozzle.png while looking for an answer. If no one has an 'official' MGR data but their screen wash is working well I'd be grateful if you could tell me your abcd dimensions in the image I've posted here. Thank you. |

My personal preference is for 'a' to be only just within the sweep of the wiper at it's highest point - any higher and using whilst stationary washes the dirt from the top of the screen across the swept area. For 'C' I'd aim it about halfway to two thirds up the wiper (imagine the wiper is vertical), For B and D equally spaced across the screen make sure that 'd' is well within the swept area. works on most cars for me. I'm sorry I can't give abosolute measurements - but getting the aim a precise point will be nigh on impossible anyway.

Yup. I think it's down to personal preference to some extent.

Thanks
Thank you to everyone who has replied. I'll adjust them tomorrow.
Ronnie - do you have a link to the jets you fitted, or a reference number I can search for? |

The Ford part numbers are:
1708797 - Heated 1708796 - Non-heated You need to replace the hose from the T piece to the jet with one of a narrower diameter and if you go for the heated ones you'll need to swap the electrical connectors. Its a worthwhile mod, done it on both my cars. |
