Every year there is a car event in Wiltshire called Japfest. Dont see the issue.

Like so many threads this one has lost direction, on this occasion because of a debate over political correctness.
Whatever people might think the post by the OP was worthwhile, so let's ignore the PC semantics.
As a final point, my Father owned a motorcycle with a JAP V Twin engine, don't know how to say that without using the word JAP.
Perhaps I should say a motorcycle with British made Oriental sounding name to be politically correct.

What is wrong with calling them Jap's or Nip's ? They where ruthless, cruel and merciless during the war. Yes, it was a long time ago but nevertheless it happened PC brigade bring it on as I don't really care
